Butterfly Gardening

Butterflies are attracted to nectar plants with strong fragrances and bright colors. Most butterflies will feed on a variety of nectar plants, but each species of butterfly requires specific host plants for laying their eggs and feeding their caterpillars.

To attract a variety of butterflies and to get them to stay in your garden, you will need to plant combinations of nectar plants and host plants.
